Baby Angela Is Now Potty Training At 5 Months Old!

I am just so proud of my baby Angela! I started potty training her almost 2 weeks ago at 5 months old and so far so good! She hadn't pooped in her diaper for over a week until just a couple of days ago when she was having diarrhea, I couldn't get her to the bathroom on time! But other than that, her potty training has been very smooth!

If I have known before that it was this easy to potty train a baby this young, I would have potty trained my boys this early! My oldest son took the longest, at almost 4 years old while my second son, I got him potty trained at about a little over a year old! My goal with baby Angela is to have her potty trained before she turns one! I personally think that it is a lot easier to potty train baby this young because they do not know how to rebel yet! LOL!

Maximizing Your Budget When There Is A Special Ocassion

Buying gifts for somebody when there is a special occasion like birthday or anniversary can be very costly at times. Especially nowadays, kids are always wanting the newest gadgets! My middle son will be turning 5 years old in November. I know that is still several months away but I always like to browse around and check for the best deals. He already told us what he really wants to receive on his birthday and that is a tablet. On the other hand, I have something else in mind that is a bit cheaper!

But I guess, since his brother got one for his birthday, it is just fair that he gets one too. So I have been browsing Groupon Goods to see if I can find a fairly good deal on a tablet and on some other things! This is one of the things that I love about Groupon. You can pretty much buy anything there that would make a great gift to anybody of all age! My husband's birthday is in October so I will have to find him a gift too. I am going to buy their gifts on there at the same time to save more money! Groupon is the perfect place to maximize your dollars when you're on a budget, that is why I love this site so much!

30th Birthday Keepsake Gift!

I turned 30 years young over a month ago, so this is kind of a late post! I have been meaning to post this keepsake gift that I bought to remember my 30th birthday. Well, it's basically my husband's gift in the form of cash but I picked out the gift myself.

I want to remember my 30th birthday not because of how much was spent, oh trust me, we are so low on moolah that we didn't spend that much celebrating. It was just another simple celebration with family as usual. But what made it very special was, we had a beautiful addition to the family and that to me was the best birthday gift this year, my beautiful baby Angela Danielle!

I decided to buy a personalized name necklace that has footprints as pendants and my kid's names printed on it! I first saw the necklace on Facebook's suggested post. I just fell in love with the necklace and I knew this was the one that I want to be the token of my 30th birthday. This is a reminder that I am beyond blessed, maybe not financially, but on things that are more valuable in life! My three kids are my biggest accomplishments that I reached when I turned 30 years old! So this necklace signifies that accomplishment! I am so thankful to GOD for giving and trusting me these beautiful and precious gifts!!

I Have Become Wise When It Comes To Shopping!

Everything is getting more expensive every time I go to the store, it is ridiculous! A lot of people who are on fixed incomes like us can hardly afford anything, between paying bills every month and buying groceries for a family of 5! So I have become wise when it comes to shopping by using coupons whether I shop online or in-store!

We live in the country, so we don't really go out that often except for important things like going to the grocery store, doctor's appointments or if there is something urgent that we need! Other than that, I pretty much prefer to shop online.

When I do, before I purchase anything, I make sure it's on sale, I do not like to pay full price and the most important thing is finding coupons to get double savings! There are many websites that I go to, to check for coupons, and one of those sites is Groupon. I'm sure you've heard of that site before!

They have become so popular in the past years because of the good deals and Groupon Coupons that they offer! From Bare Necessities to car rentals, hotels and more, even local deals are available. So every time I buy online, I always make sure to check out this site to get as much savings as possible!!

Another Means of Making Extra Money Is Going Bye-Bye!

Well, this really sucks! Another means of making extra money for me is going to be shutting down later this month! That means I'll be making less money when this goes away. I just hate it! But what can I do about it, literally nothing! Just expressing my frustration here!

The past years have been really, really bad for me financial wise! I did have many sidelines to make extra cash online but, they're slowly disappearing! About 3 years ago, I could easily make about $300 total of my online sidelines, but now, I'll be lucky if I can make $50! I am really so frustrated about it! I guess I'm going to have to sell stuff on Ebay again like my husband has been sermonizing me about!!! :(

Turning 30 in 3 Days!

Well, I will be turning 30 years old in 3 days! I don't really know if I'm excited about it or not. But I am thankful to GOD that I lasted this long and on top of that, he blessed me with 3 beautiful children! I couldn't ask for anything better to celebrate my 30th birthday with! Not much accomplishment financial-wise, but with 3 beautiful children, I am beyond blessed!

Thank you LORD for me and my family's health, for my healthy and beautiful kids, for the food on the table, for the shelter over our heads! I know sometimes I ask for more but please know that I am very grateful for every single grace and blessings you showered my way! AMEN!

A Place To Unwind And Relax

There's is no denying, summer is definitely here, although, it is not official yet, but the heat wave that we have been experiencing lately is sometimes unbearable! I wish we had a nice and shady paver patio to go to when the kids and I would want to go outside to feel the fresh air or watch the birds or other animals! It would be a wonderful place to unwind and relax! I would rather spend my time outside breathing the fresh air than staying indoor cooling from an air conditioner! But even with two a/c on, it still gets hot! I am afraid that it is going to be a scorching hot summer this year!

Anyway, if only we had the money to hire a professional to build us a nice patio! If money isn't scarce right now, I would have had it done already! Maybe one day we will get it done when everything straightens out. I can already visualize how I want it to look! There are so many beautiful designs online. There are a lot of instructions and tutorials if you want to do it yourself. That will be well and fine if you are handy and have experience, but in our case, I think we will just leave it to the professionals!

My ideal patio is to have a water fountain. There is nothing more relaxing than hearing a water flowing. I don't know what it is, but the sound of water is so soothing and relaxing in my opinion. Perhaps growing on a tropical island had something to do with it? But yeah, that would be a great idea to have a tropical theme patio! Oh gosh, I am just getting so excited thinking about it! Well, a girl can dream, can't she? And it's free!

My baby Angela is now one month, one week and six days old today and weighs 9 lbs 12 ounces and over 20 inches long! I am just so amazed and pleased with how much she has grown in a just short amount of time, from 5 lbs 11 ounces and 18 3/4 inches long at birth. This just means that I am doing a good job feeding my baby which I am very proud! There's no better than breastfeeding indeed!

Angela Danielle

I didn't realize that it has been over a month ago since I last posted an entry on this blog. I tell you, it has been a very busy in our household the past few weeks. Firstly, I wasn't supposed to give birth until the 12th of next month but, the baby decided to come out early at 35 weeks and 1 day! I was very worried when my water broke on April 9th because she's still about 2 weeks premature. We were so sure that she would be put in NICU because she's a little early but thank GOD she was fully developed in spite of her early entrance. I wouldn't change anything at all, my delivery was perfect, she's perfect, everything was perfect!

Anyway, here is Angela Danielle, the newest member of our family! Pictures were taken at the hospital. Her birth weight was 5 lbs and 11 ounces and 18 and 3/4 inches tall. I am really grateful that she came out when she did for we are enjoying her almost 3 weeks early! She will be 3 weeks old this Saturday and she already gained about a pound from her birth weight. Last time we went to her pediatrician, she weight 6 lbs and 5 ounces! But I can tell that she's gained weight for she feels heavier now. I am so thankful to GOD for giving me/us another beautiful blessing. Not only she's beautiful, she also very healthy! Thank you LORD!!!

I received these products in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinions. I am not obliged nor was I compensated to write only positive things about it, but to freely expressed my honest feelings after receiving the product!

These #bornandbeyond monthly growth baby stickers are truly adorable! I have never used one before on my two boys, so this is my first experienced in this kind of product! I wasn't really sure what I was getting since I got it for free and I just wanted to try it out. I've seen some of my friends on Facebook using monthly stickers to record their baby's progress and since I am having a baby soon, I wanted to try it too. I thought to get if for free was the perfect opportunity to try it!

Anyway, since it's a sticker, I was expecting it to be flimsy! But, when it finally arrived in the mail, I was wrong! Firstly, I got 2 sets of 12 months stickers, each month have different cute designs on them! They are very well printed, and the paper is very durable that I really think I will be able to use them over and over again! I am really pleased with these stickers. And the fact that I got 2 sets is just awesome. I will be using the other set to make a baby scrapbook!

Crocheted Sleeveless Baby Onesie

I had about 2 weeks of break from crocheting since everybody in the household were sick of some kind of respiratory infection. All my boys including my husband were on antibiotics. The husband is still coughing his brains out and still running a fever off and on. The little boys are finally over it, thank goodness! I'm just glad that although I am a little congested and coughing, I didn't really get it as bad as my boys did, so I am able to take care of them!

Anyhow, the other day, I finally decided to get back crocheting and decided to make a baby onesie for my little Angel! The picture above is the finish baby onesie. It didn't really take long to finish it. I just love how it turned out and I'm so excited how this onesie will look on her. She probably won't be able to wear it right away when she's born. I would the size of this onesie is at least 3-6 months but it's okay, they grow up fast anyway!

He Would Have Been 34 Years Old!

March 2 is a date I will never forget, because it is my late brother's birthday! He died over 5 years ago! He would have been 34 years old! I feel really sad every time I think about him, because he had so much potential! If only he didn't get mixed up with the wrong crowd, he would have been alive today, have his own family and a somebody, because he was such a very creative person, very good at everything that he did! He was very crafty, artistic and very talented!

But anyway, I'm sure wherever he is, he is in a much better place and with my father who also passed away over 3 years ago. So I'm sure they are not lonely wherever they are! I am sure they are watching over us. I really miss them even though my brother and I weren't very close growing up! He is still my brother no matter what and I loved him!
