Wigs Online!

Changing your hair style and color can now be easily done without going to a beauty salon and cutting and changing color of your natural hair! You can easily do so, if you wish to, in the comfort of your own home by wearing a wig!

Wearing a wig is not so uncommon these days! It is actually getting very popular. A lot of people are doing it now, celebrities and common people alike!

Anyway, I have always wanted to dye my hair in different color. I've done it many times at home, but having a natural black hair, the dye just wouldn't work on my black hair. The only way to change my hair color is to bleach it first, but I don't really want to do that at home, nor do I want it done in a beauty shop because it's expensive!

But since wigs are trending these days, instead of spending my money to put toxic chemicals on my head, I can just buy wigs online! There's no hassle in putting it on and it won't damage my natural hair! I really love the hair in the picture above! I have always wanted to try an Ombre color, it look so beautiful in my opinion! There are also many styles and as well as different colors available on their website if you want to check it out for yourself!

Halloween Is Fast Approaching!

Halloween is definitely fast approaching! It is less than 3 weeks from now. It is not only the occasion that we will be celebrating that day, it is also my husband and my mother's birthday! But my mom is in the Philippines and right now there is a 12-hour difference between here and there. So technically, it'll be on the 30th here that my mom's actual birthday there!

Anyway, after we celebrate my husband's birthday at home, later that day, my little girl, middle son and I will be going to the mall to Trick and Treat with friends. My oldest son decided he won't be going this year!

I crocheted my little girl a Belle-inspired dress from Beauty and the Beast as her costume for this year! And my middle son I bought an Ash Ketchum from Pokemon! He can hardly wait to wear it. He's already asked me multiple times if he can wear it to school which I said no, not before Halloween. But after that he can wear here at home!

Anyhow, days are running fast, so Halloween will be here before we'll know it! My middle son will be having a field trip at a Corn Maze on the 20th, so there are so much excitements going on! I can hardly wait!

The Best Website To Find Your Next Car

It is so amazing to me how much technology has evolved the past ten years! Pretty much everything can be done conveniently right in the comfort of your own home with just a few clicks of your mouse or a few taps on your cellphone, tablet or whatever device you are using. The internet is really an amazing thing if used correctly and not being abused!

With that being said, one of the things that you can do on the internet is finding that perfect car that suits your budget and needs. Just imagine going to different car dealers to find that perfect car if the internet is not available! How exhausting would that be? It can still be very time-consuming researching online, but at least you'll be doing it in the comfort of your own home.

But if you really want to save time, you can just go to Cars.com, it is the best website on the internet right now in my opinion! The site is very easy to navigate. Just type the car brand and model you're interested and zipcode and it'll connect you to all car dealers locally and across the country, so you can easily compare prices! You can also use the website to trade or sell your old car. You can also download their mobile app for  Apple or Android devices.

I Love My 31st Birthday Present!

Wow it has been a while since I posted anything on here! I have been so very busy lately! There are just so much going on in our household right now. But anyway, I know this is kind of a late post, but I turned 31 years young on the 3rd of last month! I have been meaning to post something about my birthday.

As usual it was just a simple celebration with my family. I am very thankful to GOD for giving me an amazing life, although sometimes I don't realize it and wanting more. I am beyond blessed for having an amazing family especially healthy, active and beautiful children! I have everything that I need, it might not be everything material-wise, but that doesn't really bring true happiness in life!

Anyhow, speaking of material things, my husband asked me what I would like to have for my birthday. We have been talking about buying a new Waffle maker since we really love to eat waffle sometimes. So instead of buying it separately, I suggested he can get me a Waffle maker for my birthday to save money, and it's not just for me, but for the whole family! So we bought a really nice one that would hopefully last for a long time! It really makes good waffles! We have enjoyed it almost everyday until we turned vegan! Yes we are vegans now for almost a month! I will get into that on my next post!

I really love to browse online. That's one of the things that I enjoyed doing when I do not have anything else to do online and if my offline life gets boring! I always love to check my favorite stores online to see if they are offering good deals.

One of the sites that I also check is Guitar Center, they always have a great deal here! Although I am into music, I mean I do enjoy listening to some music, but I do not know how to play any instruments! But I still love to browse this store. They do have some awesome products for such great prices!

My Oldest Son Turned 11 Years Old

My oldest son just turned 11 years old a week ago. It is just so unbelievable to me how time has flown so fast! I am very thankful to God for giving me such a gentle, kind, handsome and smart son! Although he gets in trouble with us for not putting all his focus on his school works!

Anyway, he requested that for his 11th birthday, he'd like to invite a few of his close friends from school. I couldn't say no to it since I invited a lot of my Filipino friends on my daughter's first birthday just a month ago. So we agreed that we will let him have a little party with his friends.

He requested pizzas and hot wings and Pokemon cake. It's not really a whole lot to ask, so I did my best to grant his simple requests! Pictures below are some of the photos that I took on his birthday. He and his friends had a great time and most importantly, he was very appreciative!

The top photo is a DIY Pokemon cake as requested by the birthday boy! The cake was bought at the store already premade and the Pokemon little figures I bought on Amazon to put on his birthday cake. $15 for 72 different tiny figures. I used some as cake toppers, some I used as party favors to give away to his friends and the rest I gave to the birthday boy as presents!

I am so glad that he just requested pizzas and hot wings. I bought the $5 hot and ready pizzas at Walmart and bought frozen hot wings at the store days before. So all I did was buy the pizzas the day of the birthday and kept them warm in the oven while the hot wings were cooking in the microwave! I also had the chocolate fountain out and had strawberries, pretzels, and marshmallows to dip! The kids really enjoyed everything which I am very glad since it is the main objective of having a party!

Going To Be in Kindergarten

My middle child who is 5 years old is going to be in kindergarten the next school year! Earlier today was his kindergarten screening and I'm very pleased that he did so well, he scored 39 out of 43 on his screening tests! The only thing that he really needs to learn is how to read. He pretty much knows all his alphabets, upper and lower case, he can count from 1 up to 20, he knows all his colors and shapes and can successfully write his full name! So I am so proud of the little fellow beyond words!

The Special Beauty of Berber Rugs

posted by Forsythea Nelms on , ,

The Berber have been a part of Moroccan history from the beginning. They existed before the Arab people largely associated with North Africa today. There's evidence to suggest that they're descendants of prehistoric North African tribes. Omnipresent in cities such as Marrakech, Fez and villages along the Algerian border today, the Berber can also still be found in traditional villages across the High Atlas Mountains. Their talent at creating beautiful things from natural materials is one of the first things that visitors to Morocco notice. Because of their one of a kind distinctiveness, Berber carpet attracts buyers from around the world. Some are most responsive to their weight and texture. Others admire the handmade energy that radiates from the ancient approach with which they're woven. Anyone who has fallen under the spell of one would agree that there's something about Berber rugs that's mesmerizing.

Berber carpets are made of a variety of materials that include sheep wool, cotton and camel hair. It's increasingly common for them to contain synthetic materials such as nylon. The patterns on them are typically quite simple. They're often rough to the touch. You could say that they're the opposite of Oriental rugs. While much of North African architecture has a majestic Islamic feel to it, Berber carpet is shockingly simple in terms of the materials used to make it. The same could be said of its minimalist and abstract patterns, which is why it stands out. Berber carpet is loud in its simplicity. Few can overlook the presence of one on a floor or pinned to a wall in a room.

Women tend to be carpet weavers. They tend to follow a Berber tradition of mothers training young daughters to create rugs on simple looms. Berber rugs have everyday functions. They provide warmth in the winter, for example. The making of them is also a rite or ritual that defines Berber culture.

There are a number of different Berber tribes. Someone knowledgeable about Moroccan carpet weaving culture can tell what region of the Middle Atlas a rug was made simply looking at its patterns or recognizing the way with which it was embroidered. Some designs and styles are now obsolete and no longer being made, which is why vintage Berber rugs are such high-value keepsakes.

Berber rugs being produced today are commonly dyed with synthetically derived colors. Rugs made from traditional sources such as plant roots, wild berries and even the shells of certain insects have a much more vivid appearance. In fact, many prefer to own naturally dyed carpet because the colors grow more beautiful over time. Of course, the techniques used to dye Berber rugs are often guarded by the individual tribes who create them. The technique of dyeing a Berber rug is a rigorous art form in and of itself that's not at all something simple to learn and duplicate, which is just another example of the magic that goes into the production and design process of these consistently sought after rugs.

I Made My Daughter's Piñata!

My youngest daughter just turned 11 months old the other day, which means next month, she'll have her 1st birthday! I've decided that we will throw her a party since it is her first birthday! I've invited a few Filipina friends with their kids of course! I have a few activities and games that I would like to do on her birthday so the kids can have a good time. One of those activities/games is beating a Piñata!

So I went to Walmart yesterday to check out their Piñatas and was shocked to see that an empty one is almost $20! And by time you get the candies to put inside which is almost $10, I will be paying almost $30 which I find ridiculous! We just do not have that much money to spend on just one activity, so I decided to make my own Piñata which is pictured below.

As you can see in the right picture, the Piñata is made from a pizza box, yes I cleaned the inside with a clorox wipe! This Piñata only cost me the price of the tissue paper which I only used 2 sheets of each color! And of course I'll have buy some candies and goodies to put inside for the kids to go crazy about! Anyway, in the left picture is the finished product! It's not perfect but I'm sure the kids will enjoy beating the goodies out of it!

There's No Such Thing As Easy Money!

I now fully believed that there is no such thing as easy money unless of course, you're doing something illegal like robbing a bank or sell drugs! But if you want a clean and honest earnings, there's always hard work involve either you're doing it outside by working for somebody else or at home!

I am a stay-at-home mom for almost 12-years now. I have not yet to experience what it's like to go to work I did not need to! My husband had enough in savings to feed a family of four that time although he's not working due to work related injury! But just a couple of years ago, we hit a financial crisis, the savings are gone and our family has just gotten bigger! Talking about having a hard time financially! It's not easy at all! I wished for a while that I could go to work but it's just not possible because I have 3 kids to take care of and a husband who is sick most of the time!

Even though I have sideline jobs online, it is just not enough! So with the encouragement with some of my friends, I decided to sell made to order Filipino bread to my Filipino friends! I started last year, it was slow at first, I did not have that many customers, but thanks to my friends who ordered from me, words got out, and now I have enough orders to make at least $100 a week! Hopefully, it will continue that way! But I will tell you, it is a lot of work! Just last night, I stayed up until 4 in the morning just to finish an order. My back was hurting so bad from standing for so long! So I can definitely attest that there is no such thing as easy money and I've learned how to appreciate every penny now!!!

Pictures above are the most recent pics that I took of my little girl just taken this morning after attending the morning mass. She is now 9 months, 2 weeks and 6 days old and will be turning 10 months old next month! Time flies indeed! It feels like, it was only yesterday that I gave birth to her. I can still feel the pain of labor pushing her out! What a memorable day that was!

Anyhow, I am very excited for her first birthday this coming April 9th! I know it is still a few months away but I am already planning it, and I actually started inviting people! It's better to plan ahead than doing it at the very last minute!

Pictures above shows what our Christmas 2016 looked like in our household! The kids enjoyed opening their gifts on Christmas morning from us, friends and of course Santa, although they didn't get everything on their lists, but they were very much appreciative!

Later that day, my mother-in-law came for Christmas dinner and we opened more presents! Everybody seemed to love everything they got, including me which I got a very nice pair of winter boots! I am very excited to wear it, so bring it on winter! LOL!

My 5-Year Old's Christmas Wishlist!

My middle child just turned 5 years old over a week ago! He had a wonderful birthday celebration even though he didn't really get what he wanted most on his birthday and that is a tablet! I didn't want to spend a lot of money buying expensive presents when Christmas is coming! So I saved the tablet for Christmas.

Anyway, my oldest son wrote a Christmas wishlist and asked us to mail it for him. We told him we will after his little brother makes his. Since he doesn't know how to write yet, I had to help himmake his wishlist! Picture above is what he had written! I am just so proud of him for writing it although I had to show him which letters to write to compose the letter! It took a while but he did a good job writing it by himself!

Anyhow, as you can see on the wishlist, he doesn't really have that much which I am thankful since Santa is broke this year! LOL! The tablet is number 1 which Santa will be bringing but definitely not the Ipod! Too much electronics already! He might get the FNAF which means Five Night's at Freddy's in case you don't know what it meant! Kids are going gaga over this video game characters! But I'm sure that even if Santa won't bring FNAF, he will still be happy as long as the tablet is there! ;)

Princess Carriage Rocker For $40

 photo princess_zpsza3puual.jpg

I first saw the advertisement for this company's rocker on Facebook. I clicked on it because the rockers are absolutely adorable and they were advertised as 40% off plus free shipping. So I checked their site out of curiosity, thinking that if they're reasonable enough I might just buy my baby Angela one for Christmas. Well, I was so disappointed to find out that the rockers are priced at $159 (pictured above on the left) and even after 40% off and free shipping, it is still very pricey! But I already made up my mind that this is what I want to get my little princess for Christmas.

I browsed online thinking that I would be able to find it cheaper than the company's website. I saw some on Zulily for $69.99 plus shipping, still expensive in my opinion! I looked on Ebay, there are a lot of them listed, most are still retail price! I wasn't looking for specific design! I kept looking and looking until I found the Princess Carriage Rocker pictured above on the right. That was the actual picture listed on Ebay. It was listed as used, asking price was $69.99 with free shipping, and the seller was accepting offers. After reading the descriptions, I found out that the electronics in it didn't work, but I didn't really care about the electronics built in, that's just less noise that we'll have to deal with! So I thought maybe I will send an offer for $40 since the electronic didn't work. I sent my offer and lo and behold, I got a response immediately that the seller accepted my offer! I was so thrilled about it because I saved so much money from buying it brand new! There are things that I do not mind buying used, as long as they're clean and sanitized and not undergarments! LOL! The baby is not going to care if a toy is used or brand new or how cheap or expensive it is! The fun that she'll get out of it is the same no matter how new or used or cheap or expensive it is!!

Anyway, the rocker came the other day. I am really pleased that it looks new! I was really curious about how the baby would react to it, so I let her ride on it for a few minutes and she ABSOLUTELY loved it!! I really hated that I had to put it up 'coz I have never seen her enjoyed something as much as she did with that rocker! I am really excited for Christmas to come, not because so I can get gifts, but so I can see my kids open their presents, especially my baby girl, it will be her first Christmas and I cannot wait to see her enjoy that rocker again!!!
