Scary Night!

What a scary night we had last night! My oldest son came home from spending the night at his nana's house complaining that he wasn't feeling too good and that he's stomach was hurting. He was running a little fever too. We thought he was getting sick again so hubby gave him some medicine. My mother-in-law came over to have dinner with us last night. After we had supper, my son was complaining that his stomach was hurting again, so hubby took his temperature again and he had a 103+ fever! Hubby immediately said that we need to take him to the ER.

When we got to the ER, we had to wait over 2 hours to even get a room. It was really a bad time to be there for there was a lot of people last night! Anyway, finally they called him. We were parted because I had to go to the bathroom to feed my baby for I did not want to do it in public. I usually pump before we go out anywhere but I did not have time to do so last night for we were in a hurry. Anyhow, by the time I came back to the waiting area, hubby and my son were gone. I had to sit there for another hour or so and my baby was sleepy that he was whining a lot. It was a very uncomfortable night for me!

While I was there the whole time waiting for somebody to get me, I figure my husband will send somebody to get me, well he did but it took over an hour. I was praying the whole time that I hope everything is ok that nothing is seriously wrong with him. It was worrying me to death that I wasn't beside him. It was just an awful feeling and felt like it was the longest wait I have ever done in my life! So finally this nurse came and look at me in the eyes and asked if I was Michelle and I said yes. She took me to the room where my husband and son was waiting, I was just so thrilled that we were together again!

They already did some test on him and drawn some blood and they were waiting for the blood result. After a few minutes of being there, this doctor came and told us that the blood test came out perfect, nothing is wrong but he couldn't explain why he had a high fever. He told us that we have two options, we could either go ahead and do a CAT scan on him or we can just go home and observe and see if his symptoms gets worsens and take him back to the ER. My son seemed to be feeling much better that time so we chose to just go home instead of exposing him to radiation.

It was just a big sigh of relief knowing that there is nothing seriously wrong with him! I was thanking GOD the whole time we were coming home and before I went to bed. But I am still not completely relieve because my son woke up this morning with another 103+ fever. Hubby gave him a dose of medicine and it seemed to eased down the fever. We think that he might have a terrible gas that's why his stomach is hurting, He has been constipated for a few days now. We're giving him a lot of liquids so he can completely use the bathroom. Right now, he seems feeling better, he's on his DS playing which is a good sign. I really hope he'll be okay!
